About Neil
Neil completed his medical training in Southampton, qualified in 1994, then worked in various hospital jobs before becoming a GP and subsequently senior partner in a busy GP practice. During his career Neil volunteered as a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care ambulance doctor for ten years alongside his day job. Since medical school, he has enjoyed teaching. Once established as a GP, he had the opportunity to develop the surgery into a training practice, and became a GP trainer. Later, he became a deanery GP Tutor and trained other doctors to become trainers. During the pandemic Neil was diagnosed with ALK positive lung cancer and so took medical retirement due to ill health.
